🙗 Watercolour Rainbow Card with Butterflies 🙔
Good Morning Everyone!!
I hope you are all doing well and have some fun crafting planned for today :)
I have come on to show you this card I have made and I am in love!!
I really like the colours that I have used on this card and I think the black butterflies really show the bright colours off well.
The butterflies today have been die cut from a new little gadget that I bought the other day. It is a retired Stampin' Up product, but I am sure you would be able to find it on ebay :).
It is a Sizzix Embosslits called Beautiful Wings.
I have never used one of these before but it was so easy to use. I will definitely be on the look out for more that I like. If you know where I could purchase them, please comment down below and let me know. I would really appreciate it :)
The stamp set used for today's card is Timeless Textures.
The stamp in the bottom right hand corner and the group of dots stamp were used.
Card base - Basic Black card stock - 12 x 6 inches (31 x 15 1/2 cms)
Layer piece - Silver card stock - 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches (14 1/2 x 14 1/2 cms)
Card front - Watercolour paper - 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches (14 x 14 cms)
The ink pads that have been used are the following -
Spritz the piece of Watercolour Paper with water.
Dab a sponge in to the chosen colour and swipe across the Watercolour Paper.
Add more ink if you need to. Remember there is no right or wrong way to do this. Just the fun way :)
Keep adding the colour to the Watercolour paper until it is covered. Don't worry about the colours bleeding into each other. That will only add to the final effect. Also if you need to add a little more water, do :)
The order of colour that is on my card is as follows -
Top to Bottom
Add more or as little of each colour as you wish or change the order. Anything you want to :)
Set aside to dry or if you want to speed things up, you can use a heat tool to dry the paper.
Whilst the paper is drying. Go ahead and cut out the butterflies from scrap pieces of Basic Black card stock.
Now to decorate the card front.
When the ink has dried. Use a Versamark ink pad and the group of dots stamp from the Timeless Textures stamp set, to randomly stamp in a curve shape.
I stamped from the bottom right hand corner, up to the top left. The higher I got, the less times I stamped in an area.
Sprinkle over White and Silver Embossing Powder, tap off the excess and set with a heat tool.
With the stamp from the bottom right hand corner of the stamp set. (see photo)
I only used the top part of this stamp.
Again with a Versamark ink pad. Stamp this four or five times on the card front.
I then used a fine tip paint brush, which I dipped into the Versamark ink pad and painted on a couple of swirl patterns on to my card front.
Sprinkle Silver Embossing Powder over where you have just placed Versamark ink and set with the heat tool.
With a fine tip glue pen. Attach the butterflies you have chosen to your card front.
As you can see, I have followed the curve with my butterflies.
Add diamante gems into each corner of your card front and every so often across the pattern you have made.
Now time to build your card....
With dimensional's, attach the card front piece to the silver card stock and then to the card base with tear and tape.
The sentiment is from the stamp set Dragonfly Dreams. It has been stamped in Memento Black ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock and then backed onto a piece of Basic Black card stock.
Attach to your card with dimensional's.
If you want to, to add a little extra sparkle. You can use a Wink of Stella pen in clear to go around any edges you wish :)
I hope you have enjoyed today's card as much as I have enjoyed making it.
As always I will list all items that have been used down below. If you would like to purchase any thing from my Stampin' Up shop page. Click on any of the pictures and it will take you to my site.
Thank you for popping along today.
I hope you all have a lovely day.
Take care & Always sparkle
