🟄 Birthday Tile Card 🟄

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope you are all doing well and have lots of fun things planned for this weekend.

I am coming on here today to show how I made the above card.

This card is such a pretty way of using up scraps of DSP or card stock that you may have lying around in your stash.

Each block is a square which measures 1 3/4 inches (4 1/2 cms) So you could very easily use all of the little cut off pieces you have (if you are anything like me) placed to one side, in the just in case pile :)

The stamp set that has been used for today's card is called Birthday Blooms.
Birthday Blooms Clear-Mount Stamp Set

I chose to use this stamp set as it co-ordinates very well with the DSP scraps I have used. The scraps are from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Pack from Stampin' Up.

Card Base -

Fresh Fig card stock - 12 x 6 inches (31 x 15 1/2 cms)

Score @ 6 inches (15 1/2 cms)

Other card stock needed -

Blushing Bride card stock - 5 7/8 x 5 7/8 inches (15 x 15 cms)

Very Vanilla card stock - 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches (14 1/2 cms)

Scraps of DSP or card stock for the tiles and to stamp the single flowers on.

I used two 1 3/4 inch (4 1/2 cms) squares of the Fresh Floral DSP in the colours Fresh Fig, Berry Burst and Powder Pink.

I also cut two 1 3/4 inch squares out of a scrap piece of Very Vanilla card stock.

Ink pads used -

Fresh Fig

Sahara Sand

Pink Pirouette

On the two 1 3/4 inch squares of Very Vanilla card stock. I used the Pink Pirouette ink pad to stamp parts of the large cluster of flowers from today's stamp set. (Birthday Blooms - see photo above)

With the Sahara Sand ink pad, stamp the small dots stamp around the edges of the above pieces of Very Vanilla card stock.

With a dauber or sponge. Ink around all edges of the eight 1 3/4 inch squares, using the Sahara Sand ink pad.

On a separate piece of card stock.

Stamp the single flower from the set twice, using the Fresh Fig ink pad.

Fussy cut these two flowers out.

The sentiment is from a stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous. (Stampin' Up)

The "Happy Birthday" was stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock with a Fresh Fig ink pad.

Also on the sentiment piece. Stamp the small flower from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set with the Pink Pirouette ink pad.

Ink the edges of the sentiment with the Sahara Sand ink pad.

Back your sentiment onto a piece of Pink Pirouette that is 1/4 inch larger. Using dimensional's.

Now time to build the card.

With the piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Arrange the tile pieces in the order you would like them to go.

As you can see in the photo, there should be three tiles going along the top and bottom. Plus one tile on the left and right hand side of the card stock.

Once you are happy with the placement of the tile pieces.

Adhere each one down onto the Very Vanilla card stock using tear and tape.

Again using tear and tape, attach the sentiment onto the centre of your now made card front.

Using a fine tip glue pen. Glue a single flower onto the tile in the bottom left hand corner and the tile in the top right hand corner.

Attach the card front onto the piece of Blushing Bride card stock using dimensional's.

You can now attach the card front to the card base with tear and tape.

I hope you have enjoyed today's tutorial.

As always, every item that I have used for today's card will be linked down below. The link will be to where you will be able to purchase the items for yourself.

Have a lovely rest of your Saturday.

Take care & always sparkle
