❁ Baby Girl Card ❁

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to come on today and share with you this very pretty baby girl card that I have made for a friend of mine.

I do not own any baby themed stamps and so I had to really think outside of the box and come up with something from the stamp sets I do have in my stash.

After I finally came up with a card which I liked, I realised. I am definitely not the only one who has the problem of wanting to make a card and not having a perfectly themed stamp set to use.

So I thought I would show you all how I made my baby card and hopefully that may give a little inspiration to some of you :)

The stamp sets I used for today's card are -

Cookie Cutter Christmas Photopolymer Stamp SetHappy Birthday Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set

Cookie Cutter Christmas & Happy Birthday Gorgeous

TUTORIAL

Card base -

Sahara Sand card stock - 10 x 6 inches (26 x 15 1/2 cms)

Score @ 5 inches (13 cms)

Other card stock needed -

Blushing Bride card stock - 4 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches (12 x 14 1/2 cms)

Very Vanilla card stock - 4 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches (11 1/2 x 14 cms)

You will also need a couple of pieces of the above card stock to punch out the pieces for the teddy bear and the pram.

Ink pads used -

Sahara Sand

Wisteria Wonder

Pink Pirouette

Onto the piece of Very Vanilla card stock. I stamped the following from the set, Happy Birthday Gorgeous.

The sentiment "congratulations" was stamped using a Sahara Sand ink pad.

The five petal flower was stamped using the Pink Pirouette ink pad.

The streamer was stamped using the Wisteria Wonder ink pad.

There was no particular pattern, just place each one where you think it looks nice :)

To make the bear -

Stamp the bear image from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set onto a piece of Sahara Sand card stock.

Using the Cookie Cutter Punch, punch your bear out.

You will also need to use the punch on a piece of scrap Blushing Bride card stock.

Using a Chocolate Chip marker pen, (or another brown marker) add the details you would like to the bear.

I went along the stitching that had already been stamped and I also drew a circle in each paw and the bears feet on with the marker.

With a fine tip glue pen, attach the pink bow and heart on to the bears chest.

The bear is now complete.

Make sure to keep the little cut out pieces from the punch as some will be used for the pram.

To make the pram -

From a scrap piece of Blushing Bride card stock, punch out a 2" circle. (I used the 2" circle punch from Stampin' Up)

With the Pink Pirouette ink pad, stamp a few of the small flower image from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set all over the circle.

Cut the circle in half.

On one half of  the circle, attach a strip of Very Vanilla card stock onto the straight edge of the half circle.

With the other half of the circle, use glue dots or tear and tape to attach it behind the first piece; at a right angle. (This is what made the hood of the pram.

Attach the bear with tear and tape/glue dots on to the left hand side of the card stock.

Attach the main body of the pram to the card front, on the right hand side of the bear.

Attach the Sahara Sand bow (that came from cutting the bear out of the Sahara Sand card stock) to the prams hood.

Position below the pram body, the two Blushing Bride circles (from the punch) so that they are the wheels of the pram.

Place an adhesive gem in to the centre of each wheel.

Wrap a pink ribbon around the top of the card front and attach with tape to the back.

Make a bow with the same ribbon and attach onto the centre of the ribbon band. (I used red tape)

In the centre of the bow, attach rhinestones to add that little bit of extra sparkle :)

Using dimensional's, attach the card front piece to the layering piece of card stock (Blushing Bride)

Then with tear and tape, attach to the card base.

Finally add a diamante into each corner of the card front.

Voila!!

I hope this gives you an idea of what you could make if you do not have a baby themed stamp set, and that it helps you to think outside of the box sometimes :)

As always I will list all products used; along with their links to purchase them, down below.

I hope you all have a lovely day and I will see you all tomorrow.

Take care & Always sparkle
