❀ White & Silver Embossed Card ❀

Good Morning Everyone :)

Firstly can I just say a MASSIVE Thank You!!! for all of the lovely comments and messages about yesterdays blog. The feedback was amazing and so humbling for me :) I really appreciate all of you that take time to comment about my work and I love reading it all. So thank you!!!

The card I am showcasing today is this beautiful cool toned card. I wanted to do another layered card. But one that has a different feel to what I have previously made.

I also wanted to play more with the White Embossing Powder as I haven't worked with that colour really.

This card does take quite a bit of cutting, but it will be worth it at the end :)

Card base - Whisper White card stock 11 1/2 x 6 inches (29 x 15 cms)

Score @ 5 3/4 inches (14 1/2 cms)

You will need the following pieces of Smoky Slate card stock -

1 piece @ 5 1/2 x 5 3/4 inches (14 x 14 1/2 cms)

1 piece @ 1 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches (3 x 7 cms)

1 piece @ 1 3/4 x 2 3/4 inches (4 1/2 x 7 cms)

1 piece @ 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches ( 5 1/2 x 11 cms)

You will need the following pieces of Basic Black card stock -

1 piece @ 5 5/8 x 5 7/8 inches ( 14.3 x 14.8 cms)

1 piece @ 1 1/2 x 3 inches (4 x 7 1/2 cms)

1 piece @ 2 x 3 inches ( 5 x 7 1/2 cms)

1 piece @ 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches (6 x 11 1/2 cms)

The two stamp sets used for today's card are Falling Flowers and Watercolor Wings from Stampin' Up

Also used was a thinlits die from Butterflies Thinlits; also from Stampin' Up.

All products mentioned will be linked at the end of the tutorial :)

Using Smoky Slate ink and the large flourish, the stem of leaves and the single leaf from the Falling Flowers stamp set.

Stamp a design across all of the pieces of Smoky Slate card stock. Do not worry about the design matching up unless you want it to.

Also using the Smoky Slate ink pad, stamp the smaller sized butterfly from the Watercolor Wings stamp set.

I stamped the outer part of the butterfly with the Smoky Slate ink pad and the middle part and antennae with a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

Using a Versamark ink pad. First stamp the "dots" stamp from the Watercolor Wings set where ever you think it would look best on your card. One point I would say is to make sure you have it stamped pointing in different directions.

Sprinkle over the Silver Embossing Powder and set using the heat tool.

Next stamp the five petal flower from the Falling Flowers stamp set with the Versamark pad. Again, place a flower where ever you think it would look nice. I chose to stamp near and around the large flourishes :)

Sprinkle over the White Embossing Powder and again set with the heat tool.

Whilst you are waiting for every thing to cool, go ahead and die cut the butterfly from a piece of Basic Black card stock.

Now it is time to build up the card :)

Using snail adhesive, attach the largest piece of Basic Black card stock to the card base.

Now use the snail adhesive to attach the largest Smoky Slate piece of card stock to the card base.

For the three smaller pieces of Smoky Slate card stock. Attach each piece; to the piece of Basic Black card stock which is 1/4 inch bigger. Use dimensionals.

Adhere these three pieces to your card base.

Glue the butterfly die cut onto you card using a fine tip glue pen.

I hope you like today's card and have fun recreating your own. I would love to see what looks you all come up with :)
