✤ New Product - Sneak Peak ✤
Happy Birthday Z Card
Good Morning Everyone!!!
I hope you are all well and getting ready for the weekend ahead :)
I have a sneak peak for you all! Yay!! It is a bundle which will be coming out in the new Stampin' Up catalogue, due for release June 1st 2017. The name of this bundle is Happy Birthday Gorgeous. I am already in love!
I can not wait for you all to be able to purchase this bundle and have as much fun as I am having :) Not long now!
If any one reading my blog today is based in the UK and does not already have a copy of the new catalogue. Please feel free to get in touch either by email, Facebook or comment down below :)
Today's card is a Z card and although unfortunately I can not show you the actual bundle itself. I can still show you how to make my card today.
The card stock you will need is as follows -
Basic Gray card stock
2 pieces @ 5 x 4 inches (13 x 10 1/2 cms)
Smoky Slate card stock
2 pieces @ 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches (13 1/2 x 11 cms)
Basic Black card stock
1 piece @ 11 x 3 3/4 inches (28 x 9 1/2 cms)
Score this piece @ 4 1/2 & 9 inches (11 1/2 & 23 cms)
Whisper White card stock
1 piece @ 4 x 3 1/2 inches (10 1/2 x 9 cms)
You will also need scrap pieces of card stock for the framelit to be cut from and also for the balloons to be punched out from.
Go ahead and die cut the framelit that you want to use to decorate your card front.
As you can see, I have used a Happy Birthday framelit.
Place the die cut into the centre of one of the pieces of Basic Gray card stock.
Using a dauber and a Versamark ink pad. Dab the ink all over your die cut. Making sure to keep the stencil still.
Sprinkle over Silver Embossing Powder and set with a heat tool.
Using a small sentiment word; I used the word celebrate. Stamp in a diagonal pattern across the card front, using a Memento Black ink pad.
Hold a piece of scrap paper over your embossed area, so that the ink does not go on to the silver greeting.
On the piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp your sentiment. Again using the Memento Black ink pad.
Punch out your balloons using the Baloon Bouquet Punch and a piece of Basic Black card stock.
Now its time to build the card.
Back one of the pieces of Basic Gray card stock on to one of the pieces of Smoky Slate card stock using Snail Adhesive. Set aside.
Burnish the score lines on the piece of Basic Black card stock. Fold the larger sections as you would a normal card fold. Then fold the smaller section; the opposite way.
Attach the piece of Basic Black card stock to your already backed piece of Basic Gray card stock. Use Snail Adhesive. (This is your card back)
Also with Snail adhesive, attach the piece of Whisper White card stock into the centre of the card back.
Attach your decorated piece of Basic Gray card stock to the remaining piece of Smoky Slate card stock. Using dimensionals.
Again using Snail Adhesive. Place your card front on to the flap of Basic Back card stock. Make sure that the card front is in line with the back of the card.
Attach the Basic Black Balloons onto the card front using both dimensionals and snail adhesive.
Finally, with a Wink of Stella pen in Clear. Line the edges of the card front to give that little extra bit of sparkle.
Your card is complete.
I hope today's tutorial is easy to follow. Any questions please feel free to contact me.
