🟍 Gate fold Card with Banners 🟍

For Scrimpy's Forum Weekly Challenge

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are all doing well.

Today's card is a quick and easy to follow card and a fab way to work your way through some pieces of scrap card stock.

I have made this card for this weeks challenge over on the Facebook group; Scrimpy's Stampin Forum.

This weeks challenge is to use just one colour. We can have a neutral colour and can also use different tones of our chosen colour too.

For my card today, I have chosen blue. One of my favourite colours and Stampin' Up have some really beautiful shades of blue.

The stamp set I have used for today's card is Eastern Beauty.

It is from one of the suites from the new catalogue called Eastern Palace.

This suite has been released early as a treat in the shape of two bundles.

A starter bundle and a premier bundle. Both of which I have written a blog post about. Detailing what you get in each bundle and how you can order one.

I will put links to where you can see what is in each bundle and also purchase the bundles, at the end of this blog.

On to today's card....

TUTORIAL

Card base - Very Vanilla card stock - 10 x 6 inches (26 x 15 1/2 cms)

Burnish the score lines so that the two sides meet in the middle at the front of your card.

Card stock you will also need -

Night of Navy card stock - 2 pieces @ 2 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches (6 x 15 cms)

Very Vanilla card stock -

Pool Party card stock - 2 pieces @ 4 x 1/2 inches (10 1/2 x 4 cms)

Dapper Denim card stock - 1 piece @ 3 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches (9 x 4 cms)

Apart from the piece of Very Vanilla card stock that is the card base.

Using the ink pads Night of Navy and Island Indigo. Along with the Eastern Beauty stamp set. Decorate the five pieces of card stock.

Once you have decorated your pieces of Very Vanilla card stock how you would like. It is time to build your card up.

The two largest pieces of Very Vanilla card stock; are your card front.

Attach these to the two pieces of Night of Navy card stock using tear and tape.

Then with dimensionals. Attach to the card base.

The two longer strips of Very Vanilla card stock are to be attached to the two pieces of Pool Party card stock.

Before you attach the pieces together. Cut a triangle out from the left hand side of both pieces of Very Vanilla.

Now you can attach the Very Vanilla banners onto the of Pool Party card stock using dimensionals.

Cut the triangle out of the pieces of Pool Party card stock.

Repeat this step to the smaller banner and the piece of Dapper Denim card stock.

(Make sure to cut the triangle from the right hand side of this piece)

Using tear and tape, attach the Dapper Denim banner in the centre; on the left hand side of the card front.

Then attach your two Pool Party banners to the right hand side of the card front. Above and below the centre banner.

Voila!!

A very quick and simple card that can be made last minute. But is still a very smart, fun looking card :)
