 Butterflies & Dragonflies Card

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope we are all doing well this morning and you are all having a fab weekend :)

Here is today's card which I will be showing you how to make.

I love the neutral tones of this card and I think the pale pink and gold goes so nicely with the grey tones :) Also I couldn't decide whether to do a butterfly card or a dragonfly card so I did both haha and I actually think that this card turned out really pretty :)

The stamp sets used today are Touches of Textures, Papillon Potpourri (now retired) and the sentiment is from the stamp set Beautiful You.

Touches of Texture Clear-Mount Stamp Set

Enjoy x

Card base - Whisper White card stock - 8 x 5 3/4 inches (20 x 14 1/2 cms)

Score @ 4 inches (10 cms)

Layering piece -

Smoky Slate card stock - 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches (14 x 9 1/2 cms)

Card front -

Whisper White card stock - 5 1/4 x 3 1/2 inches (13 x 9 cms)

Using a dauber/sponge and the following coloured ink pads. Ink the entire card front piece..

Smoky Slate
Sahara Sand
Pink Pirouette

There is no set pattern to the inking. I am sure if I did it again; it would look completely different. So just have fun :)

Once you are happy.....

Using a Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad and the large floral stamp from the Touches of Texture stamp set. Stamp three times; in a cluster in the bottom left hand corner and twice in the top right hand corner.

Also stamp the dragonfly from the same stamp set twice onto your card using the Memento Black ink pad.

Stamp your chosen sentiment towards the middle of the card.

Using a Versamark ink pad. Stamp out two of the butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set.

Also press all four sides of the card front edge into the Versamark ink pad.

Over the butterflies and card edges. Sprinkle over Gold Embossing Powder.

Heat the embossing powder with a heat tool until it turns into a shiny golden effect. So so pretty!!!

Leave to cool.

Fussy cut/ punch out the butterflies.

Using the Pink Pirouette ink pad and a sponge/dauber. Ink the butterflies.

Now time to build up the card....

Using dimensionals; attach the card front to the Smoky Slate card stock and then onto the card base using Snail Adhesive.

Adhere the butterflies onto the front of the card using half a dimensional.

You now have a beautiful card that could be used for any celebration :)

I hope you have enjoyed todays card share and tutorial. As always I will leave a list of all products used.
