🙟 Black & White Daisy Card 🙝
This is my final card showcasing a Stampin' Up product that will be retiring May 31st.
The product I am focusing on from the retiring list today, is the diamante gemstones.
I have had a lot of fun using up all of the items that I have had in my stash. I am going to miss a few of them :( BUT, I can also not wait for June 1st to come along and all of the new goodies are available to purchase. There are some absolutely stunning items on the way :)
Today's card has a gorgeous black and white; vintage type feel to it.
I am really loving how the daisy looks on the front of this card and I will definitely be layering the petals up like this again. (The daisy punch and matching stamp set will be available from June 1st)
Along with the Daisy Delight stamp set, I used the stamp set from Stampin' Up called Timeless Textures.
This has been a very useful set for me and I think it is a rather under-rated set. The stamp that you see in the bottom right hand corner looks beautiful embossed.
Card base - Whisper White card stock - 11 x 5 1/2 inches (28 x 14 cms)
Score @ 5 1/2 inches (14 cms)
1st Layer piece - Basic Black card stock - 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches (13 1/2 x 13 1/2 cms)
2nd Layer piece - Smoky Slate card stock - 5 x 5 inches (12 1/2 x 12 1/2cms)
Card front - Very Vanilla card stock - 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches (12 x 12 cms)
Extra needed - Very Vanilla card stock for the Daisy.
Using the stamps from the Timeless Textures stamp set, a Memento Black ink pad and a Smoky Slate ink pad. Stamp your chosen image on to the piece of Very Vanilla card stock.
I did the following (see above photo) -
The stamp on the left hand side, 3rd one down. Use Smoky Slate ink pad (stamp off and on technique) around the edges.
The small dots stamp - Use the Smoky Slate ink & Memento Black ink. Into the top right and bottom left hand corners.
The stamp from the bottom right hand corner of the set, with the Memento Black ink pad. Stamp three in the top left and bottom right hand corners.
Using the same stamp and a Versamark ink pad. Stamp offset of where you have just stamped the Memento Black ink.
Sprinkle over Silver Embossing Powder and use a heat tool to set.
Using a sponge or a dauber. Ink the edges of the card front using the Smoky Slate ink pad.
To make the daisy. I stamped two of the daisy stamp using the Memento Black ink pad and one with the Smoky Slate.
Ink each flowers with the black ink in the centre and on each of the edges for each petal.
Use the Smoky Slate ink to add dimension to each petal.
Using glue dots. Stack each daisy on top of each other, making sure to offset each layer.
Add 3 rows of 3 diamante's into the centre of the daisy.
The sentiment is also from the Daisy Delight stamp set.
The "Thank you" was stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla with the Memento Black ink pad.
Ink the edges using the Smoky Slate ink pad.
Back the sentiment onto a piece of Basic Black card stock.
Time to build the card....
Using dimensional's, attach the card front on to the piece of Smoky Slate card stock.
Ink the edges of the Smoky Slate card stock using the Smoky Slate ink.
Back this on to the piece of Basic Black card stock using tear and tape.
Attach to the card base also using tear and tape.
Again with the dimensional's. Add the sentiment and flower onto the centre of the card front.
Today's card is complete :)
As always. All products used today will be listed down below. Along with their links; so you can purchase the items for yourself :)
Before I go today. I wish to ask you all for some feedback if at all possible please.
I am looking to expand my blog to items that are not just Stampin' Up products. What do you all think?? Would you like to see other company's appear on my blog so I can give you a review as to what I think or how I would use certain product??
Any answers would be most appreciated as I completely respect all of your ideas and views :) Any idea or offer of advice would be taken with gratefulness :)
Please just email me or comment below your thoughts.
I hope you all have a lovely day and I will see you all tomorrow.
Take care & Always sparkle
