🌺Thank you Card🌺
Scrimpy's Stampin Forum Weekly Card Sketch Challenge
Welcome to todays blog post where I will be showing my entry for this weeks card sketch over in Scrimpy's Stampin' Forum. I have mentioned I am involved with this before but for all of my new readers who may not know. This is a group over on Facebook that is run by my Stampin' Up Upline, the rest of our team and myself.
Every Monday, a card sketch is uploaded for people in the group to case and share their makes. Its all a bit of fun; no competition. We just love seeing each others work and ideas. The amount of different ways one card sketch can go is so interesting.
Come on over! and join us, I would love to know if you come from here :) Just search for the group on Facebook. FYI you will need to send a request to join but we are all pretty quick at confirming peoples requests 😊
That brings me to my card this week. This little Thank You card was made focusing around the flower picture. I love the colours in this card and I hope you do too x
Card base - Whisper White card stock measuring 8 x 5 1/2 inches (20 1/2 x 14 cms)
Score at 4 inches (10 cms)
1st Layer - Island Indigo card stock measuring 5 1/4 x 3 3/4 inches (13 1/2 x 9 1/2 cms)
Top Layer - Whisper White card stock measuring 5 x 3 1/2 inches (12 1/2 x 9 cms)
Using the ribbon like thinlit from the Flourishing Thinlits Dies pack; from Stampin up.
Cut 2 pieces from a piece of Mint Macaroon glimmer paper (this item is now unavailable) and 1 piece from a piece of Island Indigo card stock. (always good to save scrap pieces of card stock for things like this)
Still using your big shot, die cut the biggest and the smallest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies using Whisper White card stock.
Stamp set used for both sentiment and picture is called Gift of Love. This stamp set is only available to hostess's. Get in contact with me if you would like to know how you could get the stamp set.
Using Momento black ink, Stamp the flower outline inside the biggest oval and the sentiment inside the smallest oval.
I used Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz to add colour to the flower.
Now time to assemble your card:
Take the top layer piece of card stock. Glue on the ribbons and using dimensionals, attach the sentiment and the picture.
Attach the 1st and top layer together using Tear and Tape. Then again using Tear and Tape. Adhere to the card base.
Once the intricate pieces of this card were finished. I think it comes together pretty quick.
As always all product numbers will be listed down below.
I hope to see you over on the Facebook group very soon.
