✾Sneak Peak Card # 2✾
Good Morning everyone,
Following on from my 1st sneak peak blog post. I wanted to do a second post to showcase another one of the stamps from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. This stamp set is due for release May 1st.
I wanted to use the stamp set in a different way as to my card I made the other day and this is what I came up with.
I used the six point stamp from this set, to make the flower head you see on the card front and also on the custom design I made for the card back ground.
Here is how I made todays card :)
Card base - Whisper White card stock measuring 11 x 6 inches (28 x 15.3 cms)
Score at 5 1/2 inches (14 cms)
Two pieces of Dapper Denim card stock
1 @ 5 1/4 x 5 3/4 inches (13 1/2 x 14 1/2 cms)
1 @ 3 3/8 x 4 1/4 inches (8 x 11 cms)
Two further pieces of Whisper White card stock
1 @ 4 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches (12 x 14 1/2 cms)
1 @ 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 inches (8 x 10 1/2 cms)
To make the custom design paper, you will need the bigger piece of Whisper White card stock.
Using the 6 pointed stamp from the Eastern Beauty stamp set and a Tempting Turquoise ink pad. Stamp several times over the piece of card stock.
For each time you stamped, stamp the same 6 pointed stamp on top. Making sure that the 6 points of the stamp now sit in between the previous points.
With a Island Indigo ink pad and the small pointed star shaped stamp from the set. Stamp the centres for each of the flowers.
Using the largest leaf stamp from the stamp set Garden in Bloom and a Lemon Lime Twist ink pad. Stamp the leaves next to each flower head.
With tear and tape, attach this piece to the larger piece of Dapper Denim card stock.
With the smaller piece of Whisper White card stock. Do the same as before with the 6 pointed stamp. Only once in the centre of the card stock.
This time, use the stem stamp from the Garden in Bloom stamp set and then once again stamp the leaf stamp to the side of the stem.
With the Island Indigo ink pad. Stamp the sentiment (which can be found in the Garden in Bloom stamp set)
Using dimensionals, attach this piece to the smaller piece of Dapper Denim card stock.
Now time to build the card.
Using snail adhesive, attach the custom design paper layer on to the card base.
Follow with the card front piece. Again use the snail adhesive or tear and tape.
Voila!! The card is finished :)
I do really like the colour combination of this card. I love how the dark blue of the Dapper Denim card stock makes the Lemon Lime Twist ink pop.
I hope you have enjoyed today's card. I really enjoyed making it and thinking outside of the box :)
As always, all products used today will be listed down below. Each photo will be the link of where you can purchase the items from Stampin' Up; through me.
