🞜Pretty Purple Dragonfly Card🞜

Morning everyone,

How are we all? Hope everyone is good and well :)

I have a new obsession; I am completely obsessed with using die cuts as stencils for my cards ha ha

Today's card is the above card in which I used the Detailed Dragonfly thinlits and these beautiful different shades of purples that you can get from Stampin' Up.

I love the way this card looks now that it is finished :)

TUTORIAL

Card base - Whisper White card stock measuring 10 x 5 1/2 inches (25 x 14 cms)

Score @ 5 inches (12 1/2 cms)

You will also need pieces of the following card stock -

Rich Razzleberry card stock - 4 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches (12 x 13 1/2 cms)

Smoky Slate card stock - 4 1/2 x 5 inches (11 1/2 x 12 1/2 cms)

Whisper White card stock - 4 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches (10 1/2 x 12 cms)

You will also need a piece of Elegant Eggplant card stock.

Die cut the smaller dragonfly and the group of dragonflies from the Details Dragonfly thinlits set out of the Elegant Eggplant card stock.

On the piece of Whisper White card stock, firstly place the group of dragonflies die cut in the top right hand corner and secure.

Using a dauber or sponge and a Rich Razzleberry ink pad. Ink over the die cut making sure that you do not move the die cut stencil.

Repeat this in the bottom left hand corner.

Now using the single dragonfly die cut stencil and a Perfect Plum ink pad. Repeat the above process across the middle of the card.

Ink the edges of the Whisper White card stock with Elegant Eggplant ink to darken to your liking.

The sentiment used is from the stamp set Thankful Life from Stampin' Up.

This was stamped with the Elegant Eggplant ink pad onto a piece of White Whisper card stock which measured 2 3/4 x 1 3/4 inches (7 x 4 1/2 cms)

Also ink the edges with the Elegant Eggplant ink pad.

Back your sentiment piece using dimensionals onto a piece of Smoky Slate - 3 x 2 inches (7 1/2 x 5 cms)

Then onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry that measures 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches (8 x 5 1/2 cms)

Now time to build the card....

Adhere the card front on to the piece of Smoky Slate card stock using dimensionals.

Using tear and tape, attach above piece to the Rich Razzleberry card stock and then onto the card base.

Place your sentiment.

Attach both of the die cut pieces that were used to stencil with onto the card with a fine tip glue pen.

Decorate with diamante.

Voila!

You now have a beautiful card to give to a special person.

Every product used will be down below, with links to where you can purchase the items from Stampin' Up through my site.

Enjoy your day today :)

Take care and Always sparkle xx
