Global Design Team Weekly Challenge
#GDP082

Morning all!!

I am coming on today to show you my entry for this weeks Global Design Team Challenge. This is my second time entering but I do really enjoy entering :)

This week, the challenge was to C.A.S.E a designer so we were given a card sketch to make our own.

My thought process was I wanted to make a card for a Bride and Groom. I knew I wanted to use neutral colours but obviously I knew, there definitely needed to be some sparkle.

This was my final project :) I hope you like it. I love the sparkle edging and I think it is very effective against the chosen Design Series Paper I used.

TUTORIAL

Card base - Black card stock measuring 10 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches (27 x 11 1/2 cms)

Very Vanilla card stock measuring 4 1/4 x 5 inches (11 x 12 1/2 cms)

Falling in Love Design Series Paper measuring 3 x 5 inches (7 1/2 x 12 1/2 cms)
(This paper has now been retired)

Scrap piece of Very Vanilla to make the bow and sentiment piece.

Punch two pieces of Very Vanilla card stock with the Bow Builder Punch.

Punch out a piece of Very Vanilla card stock using the 2 inch Circle Punch.

Using Smoky Slate and Sahara Sand ink pads and daubers/ sponges. Ink around the edges of all pieces. Come in slightly off of the edges with the two colours.

Take your Versamark ink pad and gently press all edges of card stock. Include your bow pieces and sentiment circle also.

You can also go ahead and stamp your chosen sentiment onto the piece of circle card stock. I chose a sentiment from the stamp set Garden in Bloom.

Sprinkle your Silver Embossing Powder over every where you have pressed into your Versamark ink pad and shake off the excess.

Using your heat tool, let the embossing magic begin :)
(Use tweezers with the smaller pieces so not to burn yourself)

Build up your bow using Glue dots or tear and tape.

Time to assemble your card!

With tear and tape, attach the DSP to the Very Vanilla card stock.

Using some Tip Top Taupe ribbon. Cover the edge of your DSP and attach on the back of the card stock using tape.

(This ribbon is also retiring :( so grab yours whilst you still can! Link to it in my shop will be down below)

Attach your DSP card stock to the card base using dimensionals.

Glue on the bow using tear and tape and the sentiment again using dimensionals.

To finish off this beautiful card with a little extra sparkle. I added three diamante to the centre of the bow.

Voila!

You now have a card fit for any special event.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card and as always. All products used will be down below xx

Take care and Always sparkle
