๐ŸžšGlobal Design Project Challenge 081๐Ÿžš

Hi Everyone,

My post today is all about this card I have made as my entry for this weeks challenge with the Global Design Team.

The challenge this week was, we had three colours to work with. The Design Team chose Night of Navy and Whisper White. Then we were allowed to opt for a colour of our choice as the third option.

I decided to go with Silver. I think this colour palette is very classic and beautiful.

This is my first entry I have done for the Global Design Team, so wish me luck please! :)

TUTORIAL

Card base - Whisper White card stock measuring 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches (21 1/2 x 14 cms)

Score at 4 1/4 inches (11cms)

Middles layer - Night of Navy card stock measuring 4 x 5 1/4 inches (10 x 13 1/2 cms)

Top Layer - Irresistibly Floral Designer Series Paper measuring 3 3/4 x 5 inches (9 1/2 x 12 1/2 cms)

Out of the Irresistibly Floral paper pack. I used the diamond patterned paper.

With a Night of Navy ink pad, ink the edges of the DSP. Making sure to blend the ink towards the centre of the paper to round the corners.

Using the biggest flourish out the the Flourishing Thinlits Dies, I cut the shape out of the centre of the Floral DSP.

I then backed this onto the piece of Night of Navy card stock using dimensionals.

You will also need to die cut four of the smaller flowers, using Night of Navy card stock. (see picture) and one of the largest pieces from a sheet of Silver Foil card from Stampin' Up.

Attach the silver flourish to the Floral DSP just off centre from your cut out shape, and attach one of the Night of Navy flowers to each corner.

I used the fine tip glue pen from Stampin' Up to do this. This glue pen is fab at sticking down intricate pieces of card that you have cut or sequins. The tip is so small. Any thing that normally is a struggle to get the right amount of glue on. This will work a dream on.

After the die cuts have dried. You can go ahead and attach the card front to the card base using tear and tape.

Voila, your card is now finished.

The best thing about this card is there is no sentiment so you can gift this to anyone for any occasion.

I hope you have enjoyed today's tutorial. I will see you back here tomorrow.

Now I am just keeping everything crossed for the challenge :)

Take care and always sparkle

  1. This is such a pretty card Stacey. Your silver foil die cut almost looks like a mirror and is a beautiful addition. Thank you so much for playing along with this week's Global Design Project Colour challenge!
