Flowers & Flutterbies

Hey all!

The month of April is a very exciting month for me. I have been chosen to be a member of Pootler's Design Team. I am so honoured to be a part of this. Every Thursday of the month of April, my post will be my Design Team post.

For my first post I have made this lovely card that can be used for any occasion as there is not a sentiment. I really like how the black background makes the details on this card pop. There is quite a bit of cutting for this card, but I feel and I hope you do to. That it is soooo worth it :)

TUTORIAL

Whisper White card stock (You will need four pieces)

1) 11 x 5 1/2 inches (28 x 14 cms) Scored at 5 1/2 inches (14 cms)
2) 4 x 4 inches (10 x 10 cms)
3) 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches (9 x 9 cms)
4) 3 x 3 inches (8 x 8 cms)

Black Card stock (You will need three pieces)

1) 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches (11 x 11 cms)
2) 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches (9 1/2 x 9 1/2 cms)
3) 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches (8 1/2 x 8 1/2 cms)

Sweet Sugarplum card stock measuring 5 x 5 inches (13 x 13 cms)

Layer the three pieces of Whisper White card stock (not including the card base) on top of each other.

Using the Falling Flowers stamp set, stamp your design.
The ink pads used to stamp the stem and flowers were; Garden Green, Sweet Sugarplum and Perfect Plum.

Make sure that you secure the three pieces of card stock in the same place and that your design covers the three pieces. (I used a paper clip to hold the three pieces together)

Once you have finished your design. Separate the pieces of card stock and ink around the edges of each piece using your Sweet Sugarplum and Perfect Plum ink pads.

Adhere each piece of White Whisper card stock to the piece of Black card stock that is 1/4 inch bigger in size and then attach all three layers together.

Using Snail Adhesive, attach the layered picture to the piece of Sweet Sugarplum card stock and then onto the card base.

Voila!!!

For an extra little something. I have added two butterflies. These were stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and Perfect Plum using the stamp set; Papillon Potpourri and cut out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and finished off with some Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

This card was definitely worth the little extra time that it took to make it. I absolutely love it!

I hope you all have a fantastic day and I will see you all tomorrow.

Take care and always sparkle
