🙐 Final Card for Pootler's Design Team🙑

Hi Everyone,

I have come on today to share my fourth and final Design Team card :)

I have really enjoyed making these cards, these past four weeks. It has been so much fun having to think and come up with four totally different projects based around one stamp set.

I would take this opportunity again in a heart beat and I would like to thank each and every one of you that has taken the time to look at my projects and to read my tutorials. Thank you so much!!! :)

I wanted to try a new type of card so whilst looking online for inspiration. I came across an easel card. Now I know these type of cards have been around for ages but I really like the look of them and the fact that you can use them more of a display rather than a card. I think is fabulous!

I hope you like what I have come up with :)

TUTORIAL

Card base -

This will need two pieces of Smoky Slate card stock.

1 piece @ 10 x 5 inches (25 x 12 1/2 cms)

1 piece @ 5 x 5 inches (12 1/2 x 12 1/2 cms)

With the 10 inch (25 cms ) piece, score at 5 and 7 1/2 inches (12 1/2 & 19 cms)

The 7 1/2 inch score line, burnish the opposite way to the 5 inch fold.

Other pieces of card stock needed

Dapper Denim card stock -
1 piece @ 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches (12 x 12 cms)

1 piece @ 4 3/4 x 2 inches (12 x 5 cms)

Whisper White card stock -

1 piece @ 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches (11 1/2 cms)

1 piece @ 4 1/2 x 2 inches (11 1/2 x 5 cms)

To build the card base, place tear and tape onto the 2 1/2 inch tab and attach the 5 x 5 inch piece (12 1/2 x 12 1/2 cms) so that it sits evenly onto the bottom layer.

With the larger piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp a pattern using the leaf stamp from the Falling Flowers stamp set and a Versamark ink pad.

Sprinkle over White Embossing powder and use a heat tool to set the powder.

Now take both pieces of the Whisper White card stock and ink all over using Pear Pizzazz and Tempting Turquoise ink pads.

(On the larger piece you will notice the ink will not cling to the white embossing powder so you will be left with a white pattern. Very pretty!)

On a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, stamp out two of the larger flowers from the Falling Flowers stamp set. Use a Tempting Turquoise ink pad.

Colour over these flowers using a blender pen and then using the same ink pad pick out the shadows of the flower and blend more ink into those areas.

Using Pear Pizzazz ink, stamp the same flower over the smaller piece of Whisper White card stock and then attach one of the flowers to the bottom right hand corner. Use dimensionals.

Time to build the card :)

Fold a piece of Silver ribbon around the larger piece of Whisper White card stock and secure on the back with adhesive.

Attach your sentiment ( My sentiment is from the stamp set Beautiful You)

Use tear and tape or snail adhesive to attach your card front to the larger piece of Dapper Denim card stock. Then onto the front of your card base.

Attach the last large flower to the bottom left corner of your sentiment.

With tear and tape, attach the smaller piece of Whisper White card stock to the smaller piece of Dapper Denim card stock.

Place this on the inside part of your card base where you would like your card to stand up. I placed mine 1/ 2 inch from the edge.

Voila!

You are done. This card will brighten any ones day :)

As always, all products used will be listed below. Each of the item photos will be a link to where you can purchase them from Stampin' Up; through me.

Have a fab rest to your day.

Take care & Always sparkle
