✤Birthday Balloons Card✤
Welcome to a new week of blogs. I hope you all have had a fab weekend and that the weather was as nice for you as it was here for me. The sun was out!! Much needed gardening was done. Lets just hope the rain stays away for a little while now, oh how nice that would be :)
Today's card is a very quick birthday card that I have made for my nephew. I love the colour palette of this card. Each of the colours compliments the others so nicely and I was really happy how this card turned out.
Card base - Island Indigo card stock measuring 9 x 5 1/2 inches (23 x 14 cms)
Score at 4 1/2 inches (11 1/2 cms)
Pool Party card stock measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches (11 x 13 1/2 cms)
Whisper White card stock measuring 4 x 5 inches (10 x 13 cms)
Using the Confetti Embossing Folder, run the piece of Whisper White card stock through your big shot.
I cut an oval shape from the middle of the Whisper Whitecad stock, using the Stitched Shaped Framelits Dies. The largest oval from the set was the one that I used.
Ink the edges of the Whisper White card stock using a Soft Sky ink pad.
Ink the edges of the piece of Pool Party card stock with Island Indigo ink.
FYI - Whenever I am inking my card stock. I use the Daubers from Stampin' Up instead of sponges. I think its personal preference but I find them smoother to use.
Using dimensional's, layer the white card stock onto the Pool Party card stock.
I attached a piece of Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon around the bottom of the card and then used tear and tape to attach the card front to the card base.
Using the Balloon Bouquet Punch, I punched out three balloons. One each from Island Indigo, Whisper White and glimmer card stock and arranged them in the middle of the cut out oval. I used dimensional's to attach the balloons.
Voila! You are done!
Such a pretty card and definitely one that will catch any ones eye.
As always I will list all products used below.
