⛋ Beautiful You Custom DSP Card ⛋

Hi Everyone!

Thank you for coming to have a look at my card tutorial :)

Today's card is this pastel blue coloured card that I have made for Scrimpy's Stampin Up card sketch challenge this week.

Because my posts this week have been very bright coloured cards. I thought I would change it up a bit and showcase a more subtle coloured card.

I achieved the look of this card by mainly focusing on the colors Marina Mist, Pool Party and Very Vanilla. The pop of colour came from using the Bermuda Bay ribbon at each bottom corner of the card.

The stamp set I have used for this card is the Beautiful You stamp set from Stampin' Up.
Beautiful You Clear-Mount Stamp Set
This stamp set is very good value for money as it is a two pack stamp set. All the stamps you see above is what you get from buying just this one set :) I always love value for money :)

TUTORIAL

Card base - Very Vanilla card stock measuring 9 1/2 x 5 3/4 inches (24 x 14 1/2 cms)

Score your card base at 4 3/4 inches (12 cms)

You will now need to cut three pieces of Very Vanilla and three pieces of Pool Party card stock.

Very Vanilla card stock -

1 piece @ 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches (13.3 x 10.8 cms)
1 piece @ 3 x 3 inches (7 1/2 x 7 1/2 cms)
1 piece @ 4 x 1 1/2 inches (10 x 4 cms)

Pool Party card stock -

1 piece @ 5 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches (14 x 11 1/2 cms)
1 piece @ 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches (8.2 x 8.2 cms)
1 piece @ 4 1/4 x 1 3/4 inches (10.8 x 4 1/2 cms)

Using tear and tape, attach the piece of Very Vanilla card stock to the piece of Pool Party card stock that is 1/4 inch (1/2 cm) larger in size.

Stamp the picture of the lady holding the umbrella randomly over the biggest piece of Very Vanilla card stock using a Marina Mist ink pad.

On the second largest piece of Very Vanilla card stock, stamp the picture of the lady dancing. Again using Marina Mist ink.

On the sentiment piece of card stock. Stamp your sentiment along with the picture of the lady holding her hat. Again using Marina Mist ink.

Time to build your card.

Firstly cut two lengths of the ribbon. This card used the Bermuda Bay Stitched Ribbon.

Attach each piece of the ribbon to each of the bottom corners. Secure on the back of the card stock using tape.

Using tear and tape, attach the largest piece onto the card base.

Follow with the second largest piece of stamped card stock. Use dimensionals and attach the piece onto the middle of the card front.

Again with using dimensionals, attach your sentiment piece across the middle of the square piece.

Voila!

You now have a subtle layered card. So so pretty and so easy to make :)
