🎕Water Colour Card🎕

Hi all and welcome to Day 2 of Stampin' Up's Sale-a-bration focus week. Where I am showing one of the products that you will be able to choose from, for free until March 31st. All you need to do is spend £45.

Today's card is based around the stamp set Avant Garden.

I think this is a beautiful set and the flowers look gorgeous, whether you stamp them in black or different colours. Also the sentiments in this set are lovely and not just one occasion appropriate :)

With my card I love how well the Pool party card base and the Wisteria Wonder ink I painted some of the flowers with go together.

Card base - Pool Party card stock measuring 6 x 10 inches (15 x 25 cms)

Very Vanilla card stock - 4 1/4 x 6 inches (10 3/4 x 15 cms)

Water colour Paper - 4 x 5 3/4 inches (10 x 14 1/2 cms)

On the water colour Paper, stamp the design you are wanting to have. I went with three of the full flower bunch from the Avant Garden stamp set. I used Memento ink pad in black to stamp the images.

Using the aqua painters from Stampin' Up and ink pads in Wisteria Wonder and Marina Mist. I coloured the flower petals how I wanted them to look. I painted the whole flower petal with the colour and then went in again with another layer just at the centre of the flowers so that it looked like a shadow.

Using Wink of Stella in gold, I put some in the centre of each flower to give that little but of yellow tone and to give some sparkle to the flowers.

Once dry, I attached my painted image onto the piece of Very Vanilla card stock using dimensionals.

This was then attached to the card base using snail adhesive.

The sentiment:

A piece of Very Vanilla card stock measuring 2 1/4 x 3/4 inches (5 1/2 x 2cms)
A piece of Pool Party card stock measuring 2 1/2 x 1 inches (6 1/2 x 2 1/2 cms)

Using a Island Indigo ink pad, stamp the sentiment.

Attach the sentiment to the card.

Now you have a beautiful handmade card.

I hope you have enjoyed todays card and you have fun making your own.

I will, as always have everything I used listed below. Also links so you can check out the goodies that are up for grabs in the Sale-a-bration catalogues. Links to the main catalogues are on my main Blog page.
